How to prep/tag your items.
When Sellers tag everything the same, it makes for an easier shopping experience for our Shoppers! Plus, tags are secured to your items, so there are fewer lost tags.
Tagging Supplies Needed:
Safety Pins
Packing Tape
Masking tape or painters tape (for books, puzzles)
Saran wrap (puzzles)
Zip ties (can be found at Dollar Store)
Ziplock bags (great for shoes or items with multiple pieces)
WHITE card stock
Batteries (can be found at Dollar Store)
Hangers (clothing, sports uniforms, leotards, coats and swim must be on hangers when dropped off. No hangers with pants clips)
Newborn to size 2T: use plastic infant hangers.
Size 3T and larger: use full size hangers, wire preferred!
IMPORTANT:
All tags should be printed on WHITE cardstock, which is available in the home office section of Walmart, Target or at office supply stores.
We will not accept tags printed on copy paper. These tags rip/fall off or crumple, making it for cashiers to scan or for us to sort clothing at the end of sale.

**WHEN TAPING TAGS TO ITEMS, PLEASE AVOID TAPING OVER BARCODE IF POSSIBLE!!** The cashiers will thank you!!
HOW TO HANG + TAG CLOTHING: (see image)
ALL CLOTHING MUST BE ON A HANGER AT DROP OFF. (tops, pants, skirts, shorts, coats/jackets, sports uniforms, dance, dress up/costumes, swimwear).
**Hook of hanger should look like a question mark.
SECURE CLOTHING ITEM(S) with safety pins to hanger to prevent item from falling off hanger, getting lost/damaged/dirty.
CONSIGNORS DO NOT GET THEIR HANGERS BACK. You keep hangers from any items you buy.
Metal hangers preferred, plastic tube style hangers accepted.
- NOTE: flimsy store hangers have a high risk of breakage, meaning your items could get damaged/lost/dirty. We advise to use sturdier hangers.
IMPORTANT:
- sizes newborn-2T must be on child size hangers (plastic tube preferred).
- Sizes 3 and up: full size hanger, metal preferred.
- PLEASE DO NOT PIN NB-2T TO FULL SIZE HANGER OR HANG SIZE 3T or LARGER ON CHILD SIZE HANGER!!
CLOTHING SETS: Pin sets together with pants pinned to the hanger at the waist- with the right side facing outward. This allows both pieces to be viewed without unpinning the garments.
DO NOT PIN PANTS/SHORTS TO BOTTOM EDGE OF SHIRT, the weight will damage the shirt's fabric.
PANTS: skirts, shorts, etc. should be hung at the waist at the top of the hanger (see pic above). This prevents them from sliding on the hanger and falling on the floor. Do NOT fold pants of any kind over the hangers.
If bringing a 2 piece/multi-piece item, pin 2nd piece to BACK of hanger, DO NOT PIN IT TO THE FRONT ITEM.
ATTACHING TAGS TO CLOTHING:
Pin tag to right side of garment (when looking at item, see pic).
Remember, if your tag falls off, we can't make YOU any money!
Use only one inch (or larger) safety pins to attach tag. No clothes pins, straight pins or staples please. Also, no small gold pins will be accepted. These pop open easily.
If you are using a tagging gun, ONLY ATTACH BARB IN A SEAM (left armpit, neck tag, neck seam, pants pocket seam)
HOW TO TAG BOOKS
Books are fast and easy! Attach tag to BACK COVER of book, using painter's tape or masking tape, to not damage book cover.
If you are bundling books, you can put them in gallon size ziploc back, SEAL BAG SHUT with packing tape and tape tag to OUTSIDE of bag.
We accept infant books (soft, touch and feel, board), sound books, preschool books, early readers, chapter books, young adult books, pregnancy and parenting books and homeschool curriculum.
NO COLORING BOOKS, NO SCHOOL SUPPLIES.
HOW TO TAG GAMES/PUZZLES
We will accept NEW IN BOX games/puzzles: just tape tag to box with packing tape.
Wrap wooden puzzles in saran wrap so we can see all pieces are included, tape tag to back.
*Games/puzzles have been a consistent source of shopper frustration due to missing pieces, so in an effort to improve quality control, we are no longer accepting opened/used games.

HOW TO HANG BEDDING, BLANKETS BABY SLINGS/CARRIERS
Bedding, blankets, slings/carriers can be draped over an hanger (hook looks like question mark) and secured to hanger. Zip ties would work well for slings/carriers. Attach tag to right side (when facing item).

HOW TO TAG OUTSIDE TOYS, BIG STUFF + BABY GEAR
Big toys + baby gear just need to be wiped down, batteries replaced with cheapie Dollar Store batteries and LOOSELY attach the white consignor tag.
Most big items will receive a pink security tag (see pic) at drop off, which your white price tag attaches to.
Check for recalls on baby gear at cpsc.gov
Cribs can be sold if manufactured AFTER June 28, 2011.
Selling a car seat or booster seat?
Check the seat for expiration date or date of manufacture.
If manufacture date is listed, look up your model on the manufacturer's website and it will show how long car seat is good for.
PLEASE INCLUDE EXPIRATION DATE ON YOUR CONSIGNOR TAG.
IMPORTANT:

If shoes are too large for ziploc, you may tie with yarn/zip tie them together. Tape tag to SOLE of shoe. Laces and shoes must be in excellent condition.
LOOSE ITEMS:
bibs, cloth diapers, bottles, bows, hats etc. can be in clear Ziploc type bags or have tag pinned to item.
If using a bag, tape tag to OUTSIDE, avoiding the barcode.
Unacceptable items will be returned to you at pickup.
